Growing things, wild or in a pot.

A single Alocasia azlanii leaf seen from above: dark green with a coppery sheen, veined in fine pink lines, and glossy enough to catch the window. A smaller, brighter leaf sits behind it, both held out over a glass vessel of pale clay pebbles and moss. The whole Alocasia azlanii — two bronze-green leaves with pink veins — leaning out over the rim of a stemmed glass vessel filled with clay pebbles, the glass below them green with moss. One Alocasia baginda 'Dragon Scale' leaf held flat to the camera and filling the frame, its surface quilted into puckered dark-green panels between pale sunken veins. A close crop of a 'Dragon Scale' leaf at the midrib, pale veins branching away on either side between panels of puckered green tissue, the whole surface finely pebbled. A variegated Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek' Variegata in a glass vessel of clay pebbles, its arrow-shaped leaves each marbled differently — one almost entirely white, the others patched dark green and cream. A single Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek' Variegata leaf that emerged entirely white, hanging front-on with its arrowhead shape and quilted veining picked out in relief, green sibling leaves behind it. A Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek' Variegata leaf split roughly along its length, the upper half dark green flecked with cream and the lower half solid white, over a glass pot of clay pebbles. The base of a variegated Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek' Variegata in a glass vessel of expanded clay pebbles, pale petioles rising from the corm with the papery remains of an old sheath still attached. A wholly white Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek' Variegata leaf photographed against the light, every vein and quilted panel visible through the blade, the glass pot and its clay pebbles blurred behind. A tight crop of an all-white Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek' Variegata leaf, filling the frame with its raised veins and the soft folds between them, with no green anywhere on the blade. A Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek' Variegata leaf seen from the side, its upper half mottled dark green and grey-green over cream, the lower half fading to plain white. A close view along a Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek' Variegata leaf, pale veins dividing it into panels, dark green blocks giving way to broad white sections toward the leaf edge. A Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek' Variegata leaf divided almost exactly down its midrib — solid dark green on one side, solid white on the other, with the boundary running the length of the leaf. Pale green petioles of a variegated Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek' Variegata rising out of expanded clay pebbles in a glass pot, a dried sheath still wrapped around the corm at the centre. A single Alocasia nebula leaf from above, thick and almost matte silver-grey, with darker green veins branching from a pale midrib out to a thin green margin. An Alocasia nebula leaf after watering, beads and runs of water caught along the sunken veins on one side of the midrib and glossy where the silver-grey surface is wet. Hoya carnosa 'Compacta' close up, its thick leaves folded and twisted tightly along the stem so both faces of each leaf show at once, growing in a terracotta pot topped with coarse grit. A hanging length of Hoya carnosa 'Compacta', the leaves folded back on themselves along the stem into a continuous twisted rope of green and pale cream. Hoya carnosa 'Compacta' from above, its stems trailing around the terracotta pot so the crowded, curled leaves loop almost the whole way round it. A leafy potted plant in a dark blue container with a Japanese storefront and signage behind it. A white wooden door recessed in a brick wall with ivy climbing above and around it. A shop entrance with a large potted palm plant, ceramic ornaments, and a fabric noren curtain. Vertical farm trays stacked in tiers under grow lights, viewed through a window frame. Narrow alley at night with wooden building walls covered in climbing ivy. White flowers among finely divided green foliage. Cypress and deciduous trees growing densely along a riverbank. Tall tree trunks and boulders frame a flowing stream through forest. A curved pedestrian bridge spans a river valley surrounded by dense forest. Tall columnar conifers rise from a riverbank among deciduous woodland. White and pale pink flowers bloom along branches laden with bright green foliage. A wooden boardwalk descends through a dense bamboo forest with metal railings guiding the path. Young plants grow from mulch beneath tall bamboo culms. Vertical bamboo culms show weathered segments marked by nodes, covered with moss and algae. Weathered stone heads of varying sizes fill the frame, layered with moss and lichen. A large carved stone head weathered gray with moss, its face serene, other figures visible in the background. A calm river bordered by dense green vegetation on the near shore, with city buildings visible across the water. A wooden courtyard with a staircase and climbing ivy covering the building facades. An old tree with a dramatically arched trunk leans over still water in a garden. A wooded garden path with dense foliage surrounds a stone lantern overlooking water. A golden pavilion sits among dense trees in a lush garden landscape. A garden stream lined with stones flows through green woodland. Dried plant stems and branches arranged in fine sand in a shallow ceramic vessel. A gnarled tree with fresh green foliage curves above a traditional Japanese roof with ornamental ceramic tiles. A residential street lined with potted plants and small trees displayed outside houses. A red maple with deep crimson foliage stands among green trees in a landscaped garden. Dense green forest covers rolling hills and a valley formation. Round, bright-green leaves densely dotted with small white flowers. Feathery copper-toned foliage droops from a potted plant in a greenhouse. Multiple potted plants with fine-textured, copper-toned foliage indoors. Thin, radiating stems with magenta and green bracts photographed from directly above. Bright green, finely divided compound leaves. Striped green and pink pitcher plants in a collection. A paved path winds through lush tropical plants and ferns. Variegated climbing plant with heart-shaped white and green leaves on a wire support. A red torch ginger flower with a bumpy inflorescence rises above green foliage. Rows of tightly packed pale green succulent rosettes fill the frame. Dense parallel rows of succulent rosettes create a geometric composition. A cluster of small coral-red flowers with yellow stamens surrounded by green leaves. Golden barrel cacti clustered on sandy ground with small blue-flowering succulents in the foreground. Overlapping variegated leaves with bright lime-green edges and dark burgundy centers. Stone-walled passage with moss-covered walls and plants hanging overhead. A slipper orchid from directly above — half a dozen strap-shaped leaves mottled in light and dark green, radiating from a centre where a dark purple flower bud is just showing — in a small red pot topped with moss. A close, letterboxed crop of two slipper orchid leaves, their surfaces chequered in light and dark green, with the tip of a dark purple flower bud standing between them. A slipper orchid's tessellated leaves from above, the mottling reading as an irregular chequer of light and dark green, with a dark purple flower bud standing clear of the centre on a short stem. Two Monstera albo leaves, one half green and half pure white, the other largely white with green flecks, against a dark wall. A Monstera albo leaf split almost exactly down the midrib, deep green on one side and clean white on the other. A large Monstera albo leaf, mostly white with green sectors along one edge, held out over a pot of bark. The base of a Monstera albo, pale variegated petioles rising from bark mix with a thick aerial root running down into it. Roots pressed against the clear plastic sleeve of a moss pole, threading through the damp sphagnum inside. A focus-stacked close view of a Monstera albo leaf where cream and dark green meet, the boundary running raggedly across the blade. A focus-stacked crop of a Monstera albo leaf, a hard line dividing solid green from solid white along the veins. A Monstera deliciosa leaf photographed from below, its yellow-green midrib and lateral veins lit through the blade, holes scattered either side. A broad Monstera deliciosa leaf with deep marginal splits and rows of oval holes, seen against a pale indoor background. A Monstera deliciosa leaf held toward the camera, its splits and oval holes arranged along a pale midrib. Woody aerial roots and a thick stem of a Monstera deliciosa in close focus, a room out of focus behind. The woody tangled stems and aerial roots of a Monstera deliciosa rising from a pot of gritty mix. Roots and moss visible through the clear plastic sleeve of a moss pole, held on with green ties. A young Philodendron 'Florida Ghost' seen from directly above, its five- and seven-lobed leaves radiating out over a terracotta pot on a pale deck, each casting a sharp shadow. A single Philodendron 'Florida Ghost' leaf hanging front-on in sunlight, still the pale chartreuse of a recently emerged leaf, its long central lobe and swept-back side lobes lit from behind. A mature Philodendron 'Florida Ghost' leaf in deep glossy green, hanging in front of the pot with paler younger leaves behind it, showing the colour the ghost-white growth eventually turns. A close view of the base of a Philodendron 'Florida Ghost', where pale green petioles meet the soil and a brown aerial root runs down into the perlite-flecked mix. The base of a Philodendron 'Florida Ghost' tied to a bamboo stake with a green velcro strap, petioles rising in every direction from the crown, aerial roots visible above the soil. A tight crop of a newly emerged Philodendron 'Florida Ghost' leaf, almost entirely white with only a faint green wash along the midrib and the finest green veining across the blade. A Monstera 'Thai Constellation' leaf speckled and streaked cream over green, its holes cut along either side of the midrib.
